Yohannes is artistic and full of life. He graduated from a videography program, and now works at a film studio. He launched into independence in 2017. He loves music and videography. He loves volunteering his time and talents at Selamta events as DJ.
Telila is energetic and social, and loves spending time with his brothers and sisters. His witty banter can go on for hours, and he loves to make others laugh. Telila enjoys playing soccer alongside his Selamta brothers.
Beemnet is a confident young woman who was described as “scrappy” when she first came to Selamta in 2006. She is fun-loving and boisterous. Bemnet likes being active, whether it is playing soccer or hiking the nearby mountain with friends. She launched into independence in 2016.
Etianat is a beautiful young woman, that is very interested in fashion. Her fun-loving nature makes her a joy to be around. She is currently a proud member of Selamta's Hygiene and Sanitation Committee. She particularly likes math, and hopes to one day be an accountant.
Hailu is an intelligent boy who works hard in school and does very well. His name means, “power” in Amharic. He has a happy, laid back nature, and a huge smile that lights up the room.
Surafel came to Selamta in 2014 with his mother, Menbere, and is thriving. He is very smart and loves to practice speaking English. His energy and outgoing personality allow him to make friendships easily, and he has become fast friends with his new brother Nati.
Nati is the youngest in Tewodros house and is energy personified. He loves playing with his Selamta buddies and they can often be seen tumbling, playing soccer, or bantering. He is also always willing to break out his dance moves, whether at a large gathering, in his livingroom, or after a soccer game.
